Job Title: Technology Support Specialist

Supervisor: Director of Technology

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Status: Exempt

Term: 12-month

Job Overview: TheTechnology Support Specialist performs user administration and supports allhardware and software at the Cooke School and Institute and helps to maintainservers and network environments.

Experience and Qualifications:

ž Abilityto multi-task in a fast-paced environment and set priorities within timeconstraints

ž Abilityto exercise good judgment, problem solve and manage multiple projects

ž Hardwaresupport knowledge of both Mac and PC

ž Behighly customer oriented

ž Knowledgeof assistive technology devices

ž Excellentoral and written communication skills required

ž Knowledgeof Windows Server 2008 – 2016, Microsoft Active Directory

ž Advancedknowledge of MacOS and iOS

ž G-Suiteadministration experience and other cloud services

žKnowledge of wireless technology andtroubleshooting

ž Bachelor’sDegree and minimum of 4 years experience in technology support preferably in aK12 environment

ž CurrentA+ certification

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

ž Managehelp desk ticketing system and respond to trouble tickets

ž Assistsin management and maintenance of hardware and the school’s physicalinfrastructure

ž Installation,configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Mac and PC desktop andlaptop computers

ž Assistswith user administration for staff and students for email, network accounts andsubscription services

ž Maintainhardware inventory

ž Incollaboration with the Director of Educational Technology:

­ maintainsoftware inventory and track software licenses

­ Trackapplication purchases

žMaintain iPads

žConfiguration and maintenance of printers,scanners and copiers

žPhone system support

žRegular maintenance of smartboards and contactwith vendor for support

žKeep up to date with technology changes in thefield of education

žCommunicate regularly with Technology Director,provide suggestions for improvement to technology infrastructure

žMaintain AV equipment and assist in setups forschool assemblies and meetings, which may include after-hours events, such asschool performances, etc.

žAttend technology meetings

Position Requirements

1 year minimum experience in SQL & Database knowledge preferred.

Experience in troubleshooting, investigating, identifying and resolving technical issues.

Some knowledge of internet technologies HTML/CSS and Chrome developer tools.

Strong multi-tasking, prioritization skills and attention to detail

Professional Development

AllCooke staff are responsible for developing a professional growth plan withtheir supervisor. Staff training is anintegral part of the Cooke School and as such is a requirement of the job. All staff must at a minimum: attend allscheduled Staff Development activities throughout the year and participate instaff orientation scheduled for the last week in August.
