Sam Antar was all smiles when he was offered a full-time, paid position as a “granologist” at Luv Michael, a healthy snack business.

Based in Long Island City, Luv Michael’s mission is to provide meaningful employment for young adults with autism.

Sam told ABC News that after working at Luv Michael, he’d like to move on and become a chef. “I’m learning a lot at Luv Michael,” he said. “I love baking and cooking.

We are thrilled to see our alumni succeed after graduating from Cooke. Watching them be meaningfully engaged in their communities as employed, self-assured adults brings our mission to fruition! We’re SO PROUD of you, Sam. Way to go!!!

Special thanks to all who made the event at Tao Downtown NYC, possible. Our SKILLs students had a terrific time partnering with the volunteers at YPO and Strategic Groups. They all truly enjoyed the unique opportunity of learning sushi making from the best in the business. This video was shot at the event and gives a small taste of the amazing evening that was enjoyed by all!
