Internship Corner

We’re back with another edition of Internship Corner! Here you can catch up with our students and their various internship assignments. These interviews are contributed by Cooke intern Megan Maldonado. In each feature we will share our students internship experiences, in their own words. We’ll highlight their accomplishments and learn about the impact their internships have had on their confidence, abilities and gaining independence as young adults.

Meet Taina, she has been a Cooke student for 7 years and joined Cooke in the 6th grade. She is now 19 years old and is in the SKILLs program. Taina has held various internship since attending Cooke, some of which have included working at Doodle Doo’s,  West End Daycare and she is now interning at TJMaxx. In this video she tells of her working experiences and how her time at Cooke has helped her to learn, grow and gain independence as a young adult .
