Educational Consultant

As an Educational Consultant, Nadine Rothman specializes in helping schools create structures to support at-risk and special needs student populations. She has been a special educator for over 30 years, working both in the classroom and as a consultant, mentor, curriculum developer, and program director in charter, public and private schools throughout New York City.

After receiving her Master’s Degree from Teachers College at Columbia University, Nadine taught for 12 years at St. Francis de Sales School for the Deaf. She served as an instructor and student teaching supervisor to students in the Department of Applied Sciences of Learning and Special Education: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program; at Teachers College. Later, she was the Division Head of the Cooke School’s middle school. Nadine, most recently served as Director of Educational Support at Harlem Village Academy High School.

Nadine has coached dozens of teachers on the implementation of specific instructional strategies aligned to varying needs of students and conducted professional development workshops for scores of teachers, administrators, and school psychologists. Above all, she is driven by a passion to ensure teachers have the tools they need to support the academic, social, and emotional needs of their students.
