Cooke Transitions

Vocational program for ages 18 to 21 (formerly SKILLs)

Cooke Transitions (formerly SKILLs) is a program designed for 18-21 year old students to round out the academic, social, and life skills needed to make the transition from high school to adulthood. Located in New York City and close to all mass transit, Cooke Transitions offers continued academics in core subject areas and students can take advantage of public libraries, parks, museums, gyms and recreational centers as living classrooms, throughout the city.

Cooke Transitions facilitates the transition to adulthood through:

  • Specific life skill courses (cooking, travel, apartment living)
  • Vocational training
  • Academic experiences
  • Volunteering and Paid Internships

An active Cooke Alumni Association offers recreational opportunities, ongoing support and continuing education to Cooke graduates. Learn more about Cooke’s Alumni Program.
